We, UMTR, had a race there last year. Was definitely a hooking track. Meet PRO STREET racer, Daryl Alderman there. The race was cancelled by the UMTR director due to conditions.

A two hour trip from here (NKY). But if it was a 100% chance of sun, I might go back to try it out again.

Jim actually pm'd me about getting the word out about some Outlaw racing in the area and I suggested that he just post up about it in the Drag Racing section.

I did a lot of legwork last year about bringing an Outlaw series to the area...from talking with Jim last week, they seem to be putting together a nice program and are trying to bring some races to our area as well.

Cool, Gene. I was just being nosey!

So, I take it you have given up the idea, about your series?

I'm just too busy with the new shop to work on multiple projects.

Running a race series is a full-time job...I don't think I can balance both and give either the attention that they need to be successful.

There is definitely a market in this area for a good heads-up Outlaw series. Too many guys that are interested and already have cars to not have a place for them to race.
