Opinions on Slicks

I took my BB Notch out on the street today to test a MSD 7 Mike and Dave installed for me. I know the slicks are getting pretty old but I have not checked the dates on them but at minimum they are 3-4 yrs old. I took pressure down to 14lbs and just went easy on it and it just gets absolutely no traction so I'm looking to put new tires on it.

521 BB approx. 650-700hp on motor plus a 350-300 shot

I'm looking to see what currently is the hot ticket. I know Hoosiers are becoming very popular but they are right up there with Goodyears price wise. The car currently has MT 28-10.50s on it and has done high 9s on motor alone.

The MTs seem to be much cheaper and also very popular and now their making the stiff sidewall slicks. I don't really wanna go with radial either at this point and I'd say that a 28-10.50 is about as big as this car can fit.
