Proper work as always.
Getting freakin' close! :bigthumb
Looks awesome Craig! Planning to run at the stick shift shootout also. We should work out a plan to try to get stangbangerz to pit next to each other...
Thanks guys!
Im not sure about running there, Id like to, but there is still plenty left to do once it runs.
But I think all the SBZ peeps showing up to race should pit together, thats what we did in the past and it was always a good time! Go to the Race thread and throw the idea out there!
Those of us still going down (last year was a thin and weird year due to the flood and so many rainy weekends) still park in the place I understand SBZ gathered at for years. Front corner of the pits along side the stage lanes for the slick cars.
I always enjoyed your builds Craig! I wouldn’t mind seeing a crowd of us down at Edgewater.
Ill be looking for everyone!
Thanks! It would be cool to see everyone again.
Made some more progress last night!
Brake lights. I have to run the wires to the actual switch, but when I jumped them, the lights came on.

Hazard lights blink. I have to replace the Turn Signal Flasher fuse as they were really slow when activated. The Hazards, worked fine thou.

Back up lights. When jumped, the Back up lights came on, so Ill run the wires to the TKO switch and I should be good to go.

Things left to do:
-Wire the Key switch to the 2 wires for the Ford Control Pack
-Wire the 6 wires off the main plug of the FCP to their respective locations
-Mount and wire the Dakota Digital main box (about 12 wires here)
-run the turn signal lights to the DD box
-Wire in the Neutral safety Switch to the FCP harness
-Wire the Back up light sensor
-Find the correct horn connection and wire
-Run wires under carpet and Duct tape them down (I like some extra protection on top of the wires)
-Mount new seat belts
-Install carpet
-Install seats
-Load in a Base tune file
-Fire it up!
It will still need to have a front end alignment, but to hear it actually run, will be Huge!
Thanks for tuning in!

One of those weekends of work where you get a lot done, but it doesnt look like you accomplished anything.
Im 99% sure that Im finished under here. Ill know more once I fire it up.

I was going to use Dakota Digitals adapter, but I would have lost gauges while tuning. So I decided to use the supplied sensors.
I drilled and tapped the factory water neck (1/8 npt)

and then installed the H2O temp sensor.

The factory oil press sensor is a 1/4 npt, so I had to use an adapter.

The Ford Control Pack does not require an oil pressure reading to run, so I installed the DD sensor in the factory location.

Once those wires were run into the interior, it was time to figure out what wires I will need to make it all work together.

Its getting close, but I still have quite a bit to do.
I always did hate wiring... Im sure it will turn out nicely when you are done though.
Hooked everything up, and not a damn thing happened. So Ill be tearing into the wiring to see WTF happened. Aggravating to say the least.
I talked to Paul over the weekend and I decided to drag the Coupe up to his house on Saturday. He did a Kick Ass job on his Cobra/Coyote swap and I figured it would be good to have another set of eyes on my Coupe.
So I spent all day Saturday out in the Garage moving the cars, cleaning, hanging up old pics and getting the Coupe ready to travel.
All waxed up and shinning in the sun.

Ill address the height of the Mustang once it runs and drives.

Old pics of the Monte from 96 & 97. Pic on the left is my first ever wheels up launch.

All ready to get dirty once again. Its a never ending process.

Im hoping that Paul will find something easy and him call me telling me that Im dumb and he is smart and that the Coupe now runs. Ill have the SCT from Ken B in the car so hopefully Paul will be able to load that up as well and actually fire up the Coupe. :)
Thanks for tuning in.
Everything looking awesome as always! Hopefully it's something easy as you said and you'll be rowing gears here soon! :bigthumb
Paul as in Paul Notch? That guy can fix anything. Worked with him for about 5 years directly and indirectly. He's not afraid to tackle anything. I think the guy could do a heart transplant if you asked him to. :bigthumb
Good luck Craig, I bet it's something simple.
Thanks! Im hoping its something dumb. Im just at a point to where I need a break from it, but yet I still want it done. Paul mentioned something about coming down here, but I told him that I would drag it up to his place and let him do his thing in his own garage.
Thats him! His Cobra/Coyote swap is what made me do my Coyote swap, so Im sure he will find what I messed up.
Thanks! Im thinking it is, more like hoping it is.
Paul: you didn't have the ground hooked up...
Craig: LOL
Check for continuity from the negative post of the battery to engine ground, and chassis ground. Multimeter should read less than 2 ohms. First place to start if absolutely nothing on the car lights up, cranks, or engages electrically. if infinity add grounding as needed and recheck. Then check voltage at the main bus feed point on the car to chassis ground. Proves out the primary ground and voltage bus circuits. A test light will not suffice for such troubleshooting.
