Does anybody on here do high temp powder coating or ceramic header coating? Or do you have a good recommendation? Thanks. My mild steel hookers need some love.

Toms customs coatings in Blanchester has been doing a lot of headers in cerakote. Lots of different colors.
Thanks I will ask. Looks like they do mostly gun parts. But they offer high temp options. I may use them on a gun project in the near future if they wont do my headers. Thank you!

I was in touch with them. It sounds like they would be more than happy to coat brand new ones. They dont mess with dirty ones as it affects their blast media. I may have to wire wheel or blast them first to take them to Tom’s. But looks like they do some cool stuff on their FB page. Thanks for the referral.

He did a set of stepped LS fender exit headers and mufflers I had made for a chevyII and a set of bbc headers for my buddy and they turned out nice
What about Aesthetic Finishers in Piqua? They do real nice work.
About Aesthetic Finishers, I live maybe 5 mins or so away from them, when I needed some things powder coated a couple of weeks ago I went to Kenny in northern Kentucky, which is like an hour and 20 minute drive one way for me. I went to AF several years ago and was less than impressed with how they ran things and how I was treated overall, I ended up not even getting the work done there. So, I had a not very good experience but maybe you'll have better luck. :dunno:
I left a message with them and am waiting on a call back.

Sand blasting place on 202 / 40 in Huber is who i used to sand blast my headers clean. I dont know if they are open still or not.
I assume by kenny you guys are talking about killer koatings? I called him first. He cant do high temp or ceramics yet but will soon hopefully. I did get a call back from aesthetic finishes. They are booked out 6-8 weeks. I have a small blast cabinet and I think I will get them cleaned up and do a vht coating and then bake them using an oven cure. And if that doesn’t hold up maybe next year when kenny has his ceramic equipment up and running, I will use him. :) thanks for the input guys!

I used a wire wheel on an angle grinder and followed that with blast media. Then i coated the headers with VHT black ceramic paint. I am working on “building” an oven to cure them. They look pretty good, to me at least. And considering on a 4v you cannot see them unless you are under the car, this should work. I mostly wanted to stop the surface rust.
