Coupe roller if anyone is looking for a racecar

My buddy has a coupe for sale, his wife's uncle owned it and they ended up with it when he passed. My understanding is there's no title and they can't find a VIN on the car to do a search for a lost title. It's pretty well gutted except for a plastic bucket seat. Does have frame connectors and a DS safety loop, battery box, battery cutoff, pin on hood and decklid. So parts car or racecar. It has an 8.8 with a 3.73.
