Running of the Dozens Kick Off, 2020

On Friday, July 24, will be the Dirty Dozens kick off. Both DD and Challenge lists will be expected to show up and be ready to race or defend your spot. We will have the final running of the dozen sometime in October, 2020.
This will be at edgewater with a rain date of May 1, 2020.
I know Dick Weinle just passed, but I'm not sure if it was Sr. or Jr. Nor do I know how this will effect the track. But I'm setting the dates anyway and we'll adjust fire accordingly


EDIT: I changed the date to correct one, also, if the TnT is still on Saturdays at this point the Kick Off will happen on Saturday April 25 with the same rain date of May 1.

Wow! Didn't know dick died. Just checked the site and there is no update aside from the announcement. Sure hope this doesn't cost us another drag strip as it did with Tristate.

Plan to be there to make a better number in the DD list.

just noted he said FRIDAY 18 April. Mike has a cruise set up for Saturday April 18 to meet at 1030 at Middletown Mall parking lot and cruise to Rite Burger. Don't see both happening in the same day.

Picked up the trans today. Hope to get it in the car here shortly and get it back running. New billet input shaft / new billet direct drum / new and better planetary gears / upgraded forward and reverse clutches / lengthened output shaft / 1/4NPS to -6AN coolant fittings. I am will be ready for the event.

I made a few passes with it last year before I destroyed 3rd gear. It was encouraging because I was picking up big time with each pass. Now if I can soften the clutch up just enough to make the trans live, I might have a shot of making the list.

Im not sure what clutch set up you are running but you may get with Shannon (kennebellcobra) or Walter and see what they suggest. They have these stick cars down. The coupe I bought from Shannon is just a Spec stage 1 and a clutch tamer. Works pretty good!

THIS! I changed my mind on my old Coupe so much, so that Sold it to Shayne as I was disgusted with it. I am very glad that he finished it and got it to where it is now as it looks & runs Killer!

Gotta 2nd this as well. My car is a perfect example of what can happen when you are chasing combos. Find something and then just commit to it 150% until you get it running, you can always tweak and fine-tune things after you get it going. Having a car that is running and you can play with is way more motivating than seeing it just sit on jack stands or cribs every time you go out to the garage while you chase combo after combo.

Set a goal. Work towards that goal and not change your mind. Once completed, adjust as needed. Oh how I wish I could just follow these simple rules!

But Greg, your car is a very nice ride. I keep hoping Ill see it out each year. If you ever need help, let me know. Id be glad to come up and lend a hand. Just to see it out! There's been a couple times that I thought about trying to snag it from ya!

I heard word over the weekend that Kil Kare will be allowed to have fans in like 2 weeks so I'm figuring Edgewater should be good to go on all fronts by July 24th.
