I am looking for a front cover (part that holds the crank sensor) for a 2.5 in a 97 Ranger. The bolt and sensor broke in one that I am working on and I need to replace it. Im sure I have thrown a few of these away in the past.

Let me know what you got.

2.3 engine I guess. Cant find one out there on Amazon or Ebay.

You mean that aluminum insert that has the front crank seal in it? Then you know I have at least one extra. It's yours. I still need to meet up with you. Works had me slammed.

That would be it. Aluminum casting with the crank sensor boss in it. My boys Ranger died one day, tried to get the old sensor out and it pulled apart. Bolt broke right off too. Don't think its ever been removed. Ill get with you soon. Ive been carrying around a throttle cable, 2 gas pedals, and Gregs hatch latch! One day!!!

I have a ton of stuff to do with my daughter today thanks to her deadbeat mom, so I will look tomorrow for it. So tuesday may work to meet up but wednesday latest because I have to go to johnson farms wed for my turkey as well.

No rush. I haven't yet got this one tore apart. Started taking the crank sensor out when I broke it. Need to get it apart today if I can find motivation!
