Hatch Latch

Hey all, looking for a latching mechanism for my '92 hatch. I'm told the '92-93s have their own specific latches but I think as long as I have the right striker I should be able to use any latch for a hatch. I'm not worried if it has the power release or not, I just need something that will latch as mine has taken a shit for whatever reason and I'm over #$%!ing with it! TIA
