This statement explaining his house with 17 collector cars in it and how he saved enough to buy everything.

As long as he enjoys what he has accomplished in life. I like cars as much as the next guy but to give up wife, kids, family and fun?

When he's gone, someone else will reap the rewards of his collection.

I can’t fault him. If I didn’t have a family I would consider doing something similar minus the bag lunches. I have to eat out every now and again. Anyway it would be a cool house to visit.

I have very mixed feelings on guys like these. On one hand it is cool to see history preserved, on the other hand it is very sad to see cars sitting and not being enjoyed.

^^^ I agree with the last part of your statement. I was never a fan of putting a car "under glass" so to speak. What's the point of owning it if you never enjoy it? Makes me think of Cameron's dad's Ferrari in 'Ferris Buehler's Day Off'. May as well buy the plastic model replica, assemble it and then look at it sitting on the shelf.
