Motor was just rebuilt 2,200 miles ago, .030 over and cam so I'm going to just put aluminum heads, intake and headers ... Has new Borla exhaust ...

I sold my 66 coupe a couple years ago. It was a 6cyl that i had hoped to do a v8 swap and never got to. A friend made an offer and i let it go. I really love those and regret selling it. Maybe i will have one again. Mine was a bright red but i really like that candy apple red. You picked a nice one Aaron. I look forward to seeing it.

I was suggesting engine swap options for the vette. You could make it better with those 6G's. Would be fun to see the faces of purist vette owners at cruise ins as well. Maybe I'll do that if turning 60 provokes that second childhood gene enough to feel the need for one. But I doubt it. Since turning fifty some time back didn't stimulate it in that way, I doubt if turning 60 will either.

The 66 is perfect aside from the wheels as you already mentioned.

On my second Flex now and they are great cars.

A couple issues to look for is the plastic on the D pillars cracking and the headliner coming loose and rattling around the moonroof and rear glass roof. The D pillars have been an issue since new and you can even find brand new ones on the lot with cracks. Everything I have read says don't bother putting new in because you have to gut the interior causing more rattles once back together and the new ones will crack eventually. But like I said I am on my second one and other than those problems, I have had zero issues.
