Fox coupe prices are getting crazy for sure !!! At one time I had 3 really nice rust free 5.0 5 speed coupes w/factory black interiors. Sold off 2 of them for $5800 each about 3 years ago. Sure wish I would've held on to them, still have a real nice '89 though.

Just looked up 5.0 Fox coupe production numbers....over 40,000 manufactured between 88-93 !!

I have 5 coupes. Not wanting to sell any of them. I think the time has come for their values to increase drastically. When guys are taking them to the collector auctions, thats a clue as to where these peices are going. We've been spoiled too long.

Approx 150,000 mustang coupes made in 1969. Approx 265,000 camaro hardtops in 1969. Just saying!

We had little interest in the notch back in the day of the Fox body. Hatch backs were the style. People who bought notch back LX 5.0's did so because they were the last ones left on the lot near end year and got a great deal on them in a 5.0 LX edition when the LX 5.0 was finally released in the fall of 86. Funny how taste changes. Oddly I have yet to find that much of a weight difference between an LX notch and an LX hatchback. The GT on the other hand carried about 150-200 additional pounds in trim and extra weight.

LX Notch 5.0 came out a few months after I bought my EXP sport coupe, and was about $1200 less IIRC. Insurance on the EXP had the same rating as a Grand Nationl because it was a two seater. I later traded the EXP in because I needed a back seat.

Should have bought the stang notch. Stupidt was I.

Three. 75 Mustang II V8 fastback, 71 Mustang fastback which I bought for then engine and trans for the 75 as the shock towers were rusted, then a 76 Mustang II 4 cylinder, but it lasted two weeks before a buddy wrecked it while drunk, took the car without my knowledge.

That was when I bought the EXP....First red Sport Coupe in Cincy, bought it at John Nolan off 75 and Mitchell

So let me get this straight. You haven't owned a Mustang since 1981...at least one that was drivable as I understand this story. Wouldn't an EXP/Escort website have been more suiting of your car ownership preferences post 1980?

Sorry Jess..........you're right. It's been a slow day here at work.

Here is an olive branch and some effort to rerail the thread back on track. See the link below for fox body cars for sale.

http://usedmustangsforsale.com/mustangs-for-sale/1979-1993/

There's an 89 notch being offered for $5195 near the bottom of the first page on the link in redfirepearl. OOPS never mind it just sold.

Never said you weren't invited. Don't get your panties all twisted out of shape. Just seems an EXP Escort site would have better suited your choice in vehicles in post mustang to 2004 and on through to present.

So back when I first joined the old tripod stangbangerz boards in 03, I took my GT to edge water for my first drag strip passes.

Being dumb and not paying attention, I ran my battery dead in the staging lanes. Who ran and grabbed a van (I think it was Dedpedal's) and jumper cables and helped a kid he just met get his car started and make a pass? Mistabone.

Who gives a shit if he doesn't drive a mustang or hasn't owned one in decades?

Any see the recent Barret Jackson fox prices? Yikes

The turbo caravan, was parked over where the bikes normally were?

I won this race to 10 ft, but was behind by 20 ft.

Sorry, I cannot afford a Fox. Regret not buying Bo's from Oxford (not on forums) when I had the money. I do enjoy wrenching for others and them getting podiums, or even National Championships, at Daytona for example for 2015 SCCA F Poduction as well as 2012 NASA PTE National Championship @ Mid Ohio.

Watch the finish, better than NASCAR.
