I have a 1990 Mustang GT convertible with a healthy AOD and 2.73 rear gears...so it's a cruiser not a racer. I bought the car almost 2 years ago from a friend in Washington State. It was his 83 year old father's car and prior to that was owned by the family who owned the Ford Dealership where it came from. Currently sitting at 104k miles and it is car you could hop in and drive anywhere. You would truly be hard pressed to find this clean of a convertible in this area.

Body...has zero, none, nada, zilch rust. Paint has been touched up over the years in various areas and the front and rear bumper grey does not match...although it seems to in the pictures. Top is original I believe so it shows age but no leaks or tears. Currently on Pony wheels but buyer will have choice of those or the original turbines...both have almost new tires on them. Has LX tail lights on currently but I do have the stock GT ones.

Engine...Internally stock. I have put on a Explorer intake w/ a 3/4 spacer, removed all the EGR crap, has Ford Racing ceramic shorty headers, 65mm TB, short belt w/ no pollution pump, a black CAI, I believe a 75mm MAF, and a fresh tune up. Has the typical rear seal leak and appears to have had it for awhile based on the amount of oil on the undercarriage. Unknown brand H-pipe, and MAC mufflers with dumps.

Interior is good shape for its age. Carpet is fairly clean just faded in some areas. (I do have OEM NOS carpet for the car.) Map pockets hang a little. (I do have new repo pockets for the car.) The seat belts are faded pretty good. No tears or holes in the seats. Stock radio and the ashtray door is out...I have the kit to fix it, just have not go around to doing it. I do have the convertible boot, but the only pics I have of it on the car are at the summer cruise-in.

Known issues...Currently has no heat and you can smell coolant when you turn the heat on. No leaks and I was planning on swapping it out this winter. The A/C needs converted and charged if you want it. Since I only drive when you can put the top down I have not worried about it. The rear seal leak. The B-pillar on the top had cracked which is common, so I had it welded back together. Lastly there is a slight crease behind the passenger side tail light. Not sure how it got there, but since it has only had elderly owners I am guessing someone backed into something at one point over the last 26+ years.

Price is $6000 and will include the OEM NOS carpet and map pockets.

I do have a set of very lightly used Edelbrock performer heads ($700) that I will be selling along with some 1.6 RR ($100). Also I have brand new Stoptech rotors, Hawk pads, Steeda caliper bolt sleeves, KYB shocks/struts and Eibach springs that will be sold once the car is gone.

Reason for selling is buying this 2017 GT and I really do not need it and could put the money elsewhere. I am in no rush to sell at all and it is a great car to take out on the weekends.

Questions please feel free to call me at 937829*159five

These are the pics I currently have loaded, so some might show tail pipes...those are gone. If you want a picture of something let me know.

Thanks!

After you looked at it I scored some OEM NOS carpet off ebay. Still red, but it's new and will go with the NOS floor mats that are already in it. Son still wants to work on it so who knows where this will end up if it does not sell before winter.

Two week bump.

Price will stay the same until December. Once I am on winter break I am going to start installing the suspension and brake pieces I have and the price will go up...or I will just end up keeping it...lol

Well life has tossed me a curveball and I need to sell this ASAP. So not quite a fire sale, but price drop to $4000 firm w/ no extras. I can promise you will not find a cleaner convertible in this area.

Recovered from prior curveball (now rocking the single dad life) so am pricing it back to what I think is more than fair to both parties considering winter is now here. $5500 and that will include the NOS carpet and door pockets. Have it on craigslist for $6000 currently.

I may be interested in a Harley Davidson motorcycle of equal value...if it's a Sporty it needs to be a 1200 Custom with some extras, but would prefer something in the softail family. May also be interested in a nice condition Explorer, Cherokee, Blazer, or other family SUV....no rotted junk please.

No, neither of us did. We were still in the process of buying so we both went and found separate places to live.

Sorry to hear this man.

Thanks, it was for the best. We remain friends and both of us have moved on. It has been a long time coming I think.

That blows man, sorry to hear. Sounds like the best possible scenario for post break up so that's good. This is a very nice car. I'd hang onto it, but i do that a little too much, lol.

Thanks. I would love to keep it and have no problem doing so if no one is interested. I'm not being forced to, just could use the money towards school or a better DD...driving a Neon everyday blows...lol
