Thank you! I'm pretty sure she has more in her. That was 22lbs of boost. Only thing that would have made it better would have been driving her to and from the track. Maybe next time.

LOL All she knew is I wanted an 8 something. And when she seen the 8 she was pretty excited. Needless to say I was pretty excited after I got the slip. But I was a dumbass and forgot to turn on the second pump after the burnout and she went seriously lean. I didnt notice anything sounding different while driving back to the pits or after loading and unloading her. Hopefully I got lucky and E85 saved me. I'll be doing a leakdown this week just to double check. No extra water in the overflow and exhaust tone sounds the same. And she fires right up. I'll let you know if I find anything.

Thanks!

WOW! That was fortunate. I finally broke into the 10's for the first time ever this year. Like you I was so wound for sound when I saw it I forgot and cussed in front of a friends 3 year old son. I felt like a toad after that.

Doesn't compare time wise to 8's but making your goal is exciting all the same. Congrats yet again.

Glad you made your goal! Doesn't make a difference if it's a 20 or a 6. We put plenty of blood sweat and tears into these and as long as we enjoy ourselves, that's all that really matters.

Thanks for all the compliments. I just wanted to achieve one of Vinny's goals and I hope he's proud of what he helped accomplish.

First round I happened to draw a car in my cars ET range. Had a .069 RT on a Pro .400 tree and ran a 5.53@128.95 for the win! Then the second round I get another car in my ET range. I cut an .039 RT and proceed to run a 5.43@131.5 and win again! Now it's the semi finals. God was watching over me as we had three cars left, and I get the bye into the finals! On the bye run I hurt something in the car. Not good. She runs, but sounds like marbles in a can. I can't quit or I don't even get second place money unless I break the beams on the starting line. The guys next to me offer to tow me up all the way to the burnout box. They told me, don't let the other driver know your hurt. Let him do his thing and stage. So we are staged up and he blasts off the line. I roll forward to break the beams. His rear bumper hits the mph block right before he crosses the line. They declare me the winner of $4k! Then the other driver comes up bitching and making all kinds of excuses. Needless to say the drama went on for over an hour and we ended up splitting $5k. I should have gotten the win, but $2500 isn't to bad for being in a class I really didn't stand a chance of winning. LOL

Thanks, but I gave the win to him to shut him up. I was content with the $1k for second, so $2500 was a bonus to me. LOL

Everyone has pretty much said the same thing. After an hour or discussions, I was beat. We didn't leave the track until after 1am and I had already had a long Friday night. Not racing though. LOL The bottom line is, the Street Car Takeover promoter should have made the call without crews or drivers involved. They didn't. I took the hit to keep the peace.
