Shelby went down at 345pm today. Cancer finally won the war. I can't sleep. It's so quiet in the house. I miss my co-pilot.

I know how you feel. We lost one of ours a few years back to cancer. White blood cells was through the roof. The wife had to take him in and have him put to sleep. I didn't get the chance to do it and it still hurts her to this day to even talk about him or look at pictures.

To some people they are just animals. Ours are like kids to us. We take them on trips, to creeks to play in the water and they get treats when they are good. Losing one of them is hard on a person. I keep saying once mine are gone, I wont get another. Its heart breaking to say the least. I feel for you and your family. I know what he meant to you and Im sorry. I know its a void that will never be filled. Ill be praying for ya buddy!

We lost our Boxer, Duke a few years ago. He passed of old age and was just shy of his 12th birthday. I will never forget the call from the babysitter telling us as we were coming home on 75 in Monroe. We had him since he was 9 weeks old and was like our first child. Our first two daughters could ride him like a horse when he was young. Even though we did finally rescue two dogs that we love today, I still miss my Duke.

So I am sorry for your loss and I know how hard it is not seeing that little nub tail wagging around.

Thanks guys. Your support means a lot. We've got support from our families, but this is extra support that really means more than you will ever know. Thanks again.
