Looking to pick something up for my son. Car we had in mind ended up being a POS so I'm back to the drawing board. I have about $2.5k to spend. Looking for an automatic transmission car. Can be a v6 or v8 as long as it runs ok and isn't rusted to death. Anyone know of one around? If it's on craigslist I've probably seen it. I search there at least twice a day. LoL

We have any members up in columbus willing to swing by a place and look a car over for me? I'll pay you for your time. Just don't want to drive to Columbus and it's another POS.

Good luck, when I was on my search I seen so much junk out there. Its hard to find something with decent body and without rust. I wasn't worried about mechanical things but that was the least of my worries seeing cars with rusted thru floors and shock towers....I will keep an eye out for you, even though I bought a car I still look.

I appreciate it! It doesn't have to be rust free, just not like you said with huge holes in the floor or rusted strut towers or frame rails. I've found a few just wasnt able to get to them in time.
This one up in columbus has me kinda weirded out. I checked the address he gave me on Google and when you do the street view it's an abandoned house by the looks of it.

Thanks but I search CL a lot between looking for a new truck and this. I already tried to contact the guy with the blue vert to no avail. And I won't buy anything that's wrecked or has a bad title.

It is really the only way you can get a GT for that price. Wouldn't worry about it, as long as its solid.

I looked into that blue vert too and could never get ahold of him...

This^ not trying to sound like an ass but unless it has high high mileage, been wrecked before it will be hard. You maybe able to swing a NPI GT for that.

Deals are out there to be had. I paid $2650 for a 47k mile 91 LX a few years ago that needed NOTHING. I'll find what I'm looking for...

I agree I just think it will be harder to find a 99-04 model for that price without one of the factors I mentioned above. Good luck I hope you find what your looking for.

yeah patience is the key. When I was looking I got tired of looking every week at different cars that were nothing close to what I was looking for. I know of a couple that are not listed but they are all stick cars.

Yeah I'd love for him to learn to drive stick but I'd rather him get down how to drive a RWD car before jumping too far ahead.
