9 Inch center section rebuild

Who can do a rebuild on a 9 inch center? Its for my Model A so Im not in a rush.

Does it need a new gear installed or just the 3rd member rebuilt? If no gear I can do it. I don't have the add'l pieces I'd need for my pinion depth tool to set up a gear.

What brand of the gear do you want put in?

Im not real picky. Its not going to be put under a bunch of stress at the drag strip. Just something to cruise around in. Right now it has a 3.00 gear. Id think that and the C4 with a 28 inch tire would be a decent cruiser.

So what size gear do you want to go with? I could buy the tool to install a motive gear or another brand besides FRPP

Ill probably stick with the 3.00 gear. Does the Ford gears require different tooling?

They don't stamp the pinion depth on the head of the pinion gear. The tool is a predetermined depth that is shimmed too. I'd need to buy a few hundred bucks worth of tools, but I guess I'm game if you are.

Ok, I didn't know that. Wonder why they don't stamp them?

Id hate for ya to have buy tools to do it. Its kinda low on the list right now to get done anyways. Im still mocking up for now.
