Video Editing Software

Guys, I bought my son an ASX Action Pro-X (go pro type) camera for Christmas.

I would like to get him some software to goof around with quad and snowboarding video.

What do you guys, that make car show videos use?

Any help would be appreciated. He is almost 14 btw.

Corel Video Studio Pro is what I have been using. Can be picked up for well under $100. However Movie Maker that comes with Windows will get someone started and keep them pretty happy for quote some time before they outgrow that. I only purchased the video Studio Pro because I was running WIN XP and the movie maker on that OS sucked big time because of gliches and lockups. MS has really worked the bugs out of that since then and it makes a pretty good entry level into video editing.

The high end pros use Adobe or Pinnacle or something of that nature btw.
