What kind of wheels would you put on it? Would it be 15" ,16" ,17", or 18"? Drag style big n littles? Billet ? Chrome? Powdercoated? Concave ? Staggered? 5 spoke ? Mesh? The budget basically allows for $750 per wheel and $1000 for tires or give and take. I have owned this car since September of 1999 and I have literally looked at wheels since about 2002. I have just never fell in love with anything I guess, or I am excessively anal! I am very curious to see what other people would do with it. NC89GT and I have been talking about it lately along with my brother and uncles. All of them have different opinions and it got me thinking.

So what would you do? Heres the car and $4000 cash. Only stipulation is the set up has to be brand new. No $500 draglites and $3500 worth of TURBO! There is no right or wrong here. Everyone is open to their opinion. I am 100% against Bullitts , FR500, Saleen........but you may not be. Lets hear it!

I'd search for a deal on a set of BBS RK's. You may need 2 pair of underwear because every time you see it, your gonna get wood.

But what sizes would you use? Lets be specific. Like Aaron said, its a stupid expensive decision! My wife picked a set of billet wheels. She fell in love with a set of Forgelines until she saw the $1300 EACH price tag

I'd say 18x8s up front and 18x10s on the rear. Go with like a 255-275/35 on the front and 285-305/35 on the rear.

Minimum would be 17". I'd let a place that sells wheels measure out the car for the size and backspacing that fits.

True Forge or CCW's would be my choice if I was going to spend that kind of money on wheels.

Or these!

I like...especially with that color...a set of 10th Anniversary Cobra wheels. To me unless you are doing an all out show car and plan on never driving it, I would not be putting on a set of CCW wheels. They are awesome wheels and look good on all out show cars, but look out of place on drivers IMO.

I dont know, but I am sure there is something worse. But that would be stretching it.

But in all honesty, it dont matter what wheels are put on it untill that hood goes away.

Get control of your ADD man, now back to the topic!
The question isn't what rims would you not put on but what rims would you put on it?
The hood can be left as another topic when he gets to that point if need be. Lol

Forgelines ftw. Cow and true forged are everywhere. Forgelines are a nice local made wheel and not played out to the level of ccw and true forged.

On second thought, if your going to keep the hood, then get the Centerlines. It will match well.
