What's seems to work for everyone? Quad shocks or no quad shocks? I'm assuming after you get to a certain width tire they have to come off. But by that size I doubt people have traction wheel hop issues. Opions please

I always take em off but it will cause wheel hop if you don't have a good set of control arms.

I have always heard that if you put a good set of lower control arms on, you can ditch the quad shocks. I did that twice...once on a fox body and once on a SN95. No wheel hop with either one and I was running MM control arms.

I just ditched my quad shocks and went with j&m lower control arms. I have had zero wheel hop issues.

I have aftermarket upper and lower control arms and koni quad shocks flipped around the opposite direction for tire clearance. I have ran many cars without them too, but I have always figured the engineers at Ford must of done some research and testing before they decided to use them. My car has always launched good with no wheel hop. It doesn't have enough power to spin though!

I have the J&M LCA's on my car too and I did away with the quads. No wheel hop at all. The J&M's are nice too, Direct copy of the Maximum Motorsports I do believe. Just a lot cheaper.

Ok, would replacing my upper control arms with adjustable help much? The uppers I have now are less that a year old, so they are not wore out by any means. The car is lowered 1 inch. I'm reading that adjustables are a HUGE help specially when the car is lower. Any thoughts? Input?

I have never changed the uppers, but I have never had anything over 350 horse either. If the bushings are good I have heard they do not need to be changed unless you plan on doing some serious racing.

They allow the adjustability of changing the pinion angle for certain applications.

upr makes some nice stuff for the fox, we sell a bunch of it, also have the strange and Viking line available too

biggest thing is to see what your power goals are, and build from there

At a minimum I'd put new bushings in the rear end housing. Energy suspensions make some that are more street able than the sphericals most guys run in racecars. Good bushings in the housing with aftermarket uppers and lowers and your wheel hop should be gone and that's without quad shocks.

Just wanted to take a minute to say thanks to everyone on their input. Got alot of feedback and even a visit by someone in person. Thanks to everyone for their efforts!
