Ok, got my slicks mounted up. Cleaned the wheels, new valve stems. All is good. Til I got up today and one went down. I don't see any leaks with soapy water etc. So my question is, can I or should I run a tube, and if I run a tube I don't have to screw them to the wheels do i?

Yes you can run tubes and I've seen some guys with cars that don't make a lot of power put a little high tack on the bead before you seat it to keep the tire from slipping on the wheel during launch, wipes right off with some mineral spirits

Mine aren't screwed but they don't have tubes either.

Yes, you should use rim screws with tubes. The valve stem can't move, but the tube could rotate with the tire. I'm sure someone will jump in with "I've run tubes without screws for years" but, generally, tubes=screws.

Ok. That's what I'm looking for....I'm sure people have done it both ways, all I needed was one to say to screw em. I don't want to screw em with the slicks I have. So,,,, that being said, someone else can run these if they wish and I will get new.

Just screw them on the rear of the wheel where you can't see them, they don't affect anything if you run different tires later

He's right. I always run tubes with slicks, they say tube type tire right on the sidewall for a reason. I have run a best of 1.26 60'. tubes keep your sanity too, you don't have to air them up daily or weekly. Screw the back of the rim and be done. I do both sides because I think it works good and looks badass. Just my humble opinion.
