I got the go pro hero 3 black edition,I think it's great I haven't used it that much but the time I have the video picks up nice.

Amazon has a new model out, don't remember what model they call it. Priced very very reasonable. The hunters at work are buying them all up.

Stay away for the JVC addixion action cam. Looks great and has great features, but the audio is for crap. Everything under the sun has been tried to clear up the noise on the audio from wind movement and nothing works right. From what I have seen the Gopro has zero to very few wind noise concerns.

Any chance that unit has the standard threaded tripod mount in stead of the proprietary mounting system Gopro uses to force buying their mounts? Does it use SD ram cards or the sub mini SD or whatever its called? Where is it sold? Thanks Aaron.

I have a GoPro White edition I think. We used it once on the rock crawler with a rollbar mount. I am not real tech savy but I used the GoPro app and linked it to my wifi so I could put the camara in the best position and watch it through my phone. I always planned on putting it on the excavator when we were wrecking a building but worried it would get smashed.

If you're looking at the Polaroid and don't need the WiFi they're about $50 less expensive ...
There are some videos on YouTube that show side by side comparisons of the sound and picture quality vs go pro ...

I love mine and had planned on using it on the Vert, But that ship unfortunately has sailed ...
I have mounted it to my Traxxas Slash and it was pretty cool !!!

I use a drift 720 HF. It has a rotating lens and can be mounted on tripod. It has a viewer on the side and comes with a keychain remote.
