does the timing covers interchange between a romeo and Windsor 4.6? bolt holes line up etc.
I need a 4.6 for my 03 f150 and they are hard to find reasonable money but can get a crown vic engine.

Looking at Vatozone, the gasket numbers appear to be different. I compared 2003 F150, with 2003 CV and part numbers are different. Mustang numbers are the same, though.

They will bolt up, but you might have to modify it somewhat. I have windsor heads on my Romeo block & timing cover. Off my head the only thing I remember I needed was different bolts for the timing cover so not sure if the windsors bolt holes are smaller or just the bolts. Also the tensioner may be different

yes the tensioners and idlers are in diff spots that's why I was wanting to swap covers.
I have them both so I guess ill pull them both off and check.
I bought an engine 01 mustang and it has a spun rod, atleast I didn't have to pay much lol!
is it worth anything for a head swap? pi heads and intake.

PI heads go for like 2-250, PI intake sells for 1-150.
