More good racing tonight!

It started right off with me and Mike going for the #3 spot. We flipped the coin, Mike won and took the right lane and I was in the left. Mike tried to get me on the Pro Tree which he did, but I had enough real estate to drive around him on the big end. Pretty close race at the stripe. He will be back though once he gets his straightened out convertor wise.

Then 2-Tone joined in with his 03 Cobra Vert with the 2.3 Whipple. Coin flip gave him the right lane and Mike in the left. The people on the starting line screwed this one all up. Once they both staged, Mikes side went red instantly giving Tommy (2-tone) the win for the #4 spot. They ran it out but it was over from the start.

Mike wasn't lying about this being a blast! Most fun Ive had racing ever. Hope more come out to join in on the fun and get the bug to do this.

Decided to call out Tu-tone tonight since we were both at E20 together. I tried to be a good sport and offered to help him out by letting him borrow of my little Maguires Tire shine for the his Hoosier Drag Slicks sidewalls but for some reason he declined. HA! Since I was the challenger I figured it only fair to give him lane choice. We staged up, the tree dropped. I got hole the shot on him...but he drove around me by the 60 ft mark. I thought at one point I gained on him a bit about the 1/8th but he got me clean and clear with little effort at the stripe. There may be a video lurking somewhere for my wall of shame.

Good running car Tommy! Had a blast. Guess that makes me number 10 on the list. Time to go buy an auto. LOL! 2fast4you and kennebellcobra were there to witness.

Then again going auto could kind of like be playing from the front/SR Tees in golf when you become of age. Sorry folks we can't call the front tee's women's tees any longer. I ran into S281 at KK. I called him out to race. We agreed to a race. Then we chatted for a bit. He's a pretty cool dude. Then he mentioned maybe we should wait cause its a 11.5 index and neither of us could use our cars to the full potential. I still wanted to race for a spot but he seemed like he didn't want to. So I'll let him decide how it goes. I got him by a bumper and ran 11.51 grabbing the win. Its up to him so either I'm 7th or last cause technically I raced. I'm not trying to screw anyone over. Race master can talk to him and make the call?

BTW S281 that's a sick ride you have!

Yeah, we were hoping to make a heads up race when the eliminations were complete but we got paired up in round 2. They ended up shutting down due to curfew before the races were even done. So we did not get to race again. I think USMCPONY should be on the list. I wish we would have been able to run what we planned. That is one fast vette too. It was nice meeting you and i look forward to seeing you again at the track. I also got to meet another sbz member that was running his blue sn95 with a centri. It is fun running into people you have been reading about their progress ontheir cars and then get to see them run out at the track. I am new to this group so that has been fun. Other forums you post and chat but the guys are from all over the country and you never get to see them run.

I agree you should be on there since you guys did race. But being that it wasn't all out for both cars, Id say you will have to take the last spot till it can be ran again or you call someone else out.

Thanks to a member on here I have a shifter now, just waiting on the c4 linkage kit to get here tomorrow. Trans brake wiring is run. I'm stoked. I think we are gonna see some pretty tight racing over the next few months.

Aaron, when we were discussing starting this list last year, the main complaint was it would take weeks to move up the list. Another argument was having an 8 sec car having to run an 11 sec car to get on the list, it could be dangerous if something went wrong. So to expedite the movement on the list and make it easier for people to go up and down the list, I wrote the rules as is. Think 9f it this way, you can challenge the number 1 spot if you want, but if you lose, you aren't on the list unless there is an open spot on the bottom. Now that the list is full, people should choose wisely who the pick to race.
Hope that clarifies it for you. A lot of thought and discussion went into making this. I started discussion 2 years ago. I was hesitant to start it, but now I'm glad I did. This shit is FUN! You should try it! Win or lose it's an adrenaline rush.

Congrats! Its as easy as stopping by and talking to me. I can get your car on the dyno and make the changes in the tune. I was the first in the area to start running and tuning E85. People told me my fuel tank would rot, injectors qould clog, blah blah, I ran it for 2 years street driving it with 600 rwhp with not one issue. We have to look at your current fuel system and go from there.

Raced s281 at kilkare tonight. I went up in smoke off the line and didn't have enough to run him down. Not sure who was there to witness it.

Mike, I will be having you set it up for e85, like we discussed, as soon as I can. Tommy helped solidify my (our) decision. We had a while to chat while they cleaned up oil last night, and a little more after we raced. This site seems to really have a lot of guys willing to help each other out and enjoy the hobby together. On a side note, I am quite happy with your tuning and work on my car thus far :) And the solicitation to join this site. I know I am new to it but it really has been fun meeting the guys from here.

I didn't think anything different. That was just general info for the masses. I'm privileged to have you and many other great customers that choose me for their project needs.

Lots of movement on the list, but a lot of people who didn't show stayed on the list. Lot of people that showed up didn't want to race for the list, their loss! Shannon walked away with 300 bux!!! Hopefully Brian or someone will post up the pics and hopefully Chad will post up a bunch of videos. Great time! I had an absolute blast even tho I didn't show with anything to race. My dd is nursing a crap clutch and my coupe has a lug nut stuck on it, so I couldn't get the wheel off, and now it's fubar'd. So I still had a great time just watching the competition. Shannon tried again to get his #1 spot back, but lost to a much faster Dtony again. Shane was a trooper, racing anyone that would line up against him, but he battled suspension issues all night, slipping and sliding down the track but never giving up! James showed and got on the list, running near his best time with one of his worst 60' times. Brian defended his spot but lost on a redlight.

If I got any position wrong on the list, let me know! I tried my damndest to keep up with everything but I'm not sure I have it as it is supposed to be. I think Brian redlit and moved down, but I'm not sure who he raced? Please let me know or the dozenmaster and we will get it squared away!

I had a great time. I would have really liked to race Beefcake, but you can't blame either of us for not taking the left lane after I almost lost it. His best time and my best time were .05 apart with the same mph. If Edgewater would spend some time on the track we would have had a hell of a side by side race.

Great event and a great group of guys. Looking forward to lots more.
