I've decided I'm going to buy a car hauler this year and I've been looking at different types and materials. Has anyone ever used one of the tilting styles? I'm not sure how well they would work with a car that sits low, so if you have one or have used one, what did you think?
Here's a nice one I came across.

A friend pointed out that Daddy Dave off street outlaws used one for the Sonoma, so I'm assuming low isn't a problem,

As long as what you're putting on it is Always capable of running ...
Hard on a winch unless you put a huge one on it, Because of the pulling angle ...
They are really nice though, I just prefer the regular beaver tail ...
Mike Foss has one I know ...
JMO ...
I happen to be the New owner of Vinny's old trailer ... Going to repaint, New lights and diamond plate deck ...

I'd love to have the second one. The first is just too much money.

I was just talking to a.friend about these last week.At that point I'd just buy a inclosed trailer. Probably find on cheaper, easier tto load and you can keep he car in it and out of the garage.

I had a tilting trailer and my Mustang sat very low especially with a splitter on the front. I just made some very slight incline ramps. It was a very slick set up.

Good points, how much heavier do you suppose they are in comparison to an open trailer?

I use one almost daily for my bobcat. It's a 22 foot CornPro. I have hauled cars on it before but the fender height made it a pain in the ass for cars. I have hauled the mustang on my brother in laws pop up gooseneck before and it had to have 2x10s added to not rub the lower bumper cover.

Thanks Leroy, I guess you might as well have a dovetail with ramps If you need 2x10's to get the car on and off. Not screwing with ramps is part of the appeal.

These are interesting. A local guy with a Corvette has an aluminum trailer that works basically the same way.

Just about any trailer is going to pose some issue for you Rick, IMO. Your pan, as you already know, is VERY low.
