A friend has a 2006 with the shaker 500 radio system. It has a auxiliary input button. Does it have a auxiliary input jack? I looked in the glovebox and center console and didn't see it. My guess is behind the radio. Just want o make sure before tearing it apart.

I don't think it has a 3.5mm input? I believe the 2007 and later models do have them

IIRC the AUX button is for a remote CD changer or a MP3 CD which is read kinda like an iPod. It may have RCA "Inputs" on the rear of the head unit though.

Hey dan. Like said here is a kit that can be installed to make that active. The headunit as I understand it was used in another modelwith the intention of that aux being used fora rear DVD option if I recall right. In 2007 Ford made use of that function on the mustang. As said you can buy an Ipod adapter kit to make the AUX button finctional. Most peopel will route the input plu up the console and into the arm rest storage compartment. There is also a generic input for MP3 players aside from Ipod. Sorry for spelling its lateand i work tomorrow.
