Has anyone here ever used onlinetires.com? I just found a set of 4 Goodyear Wrangler ArmorTrac tires 235/70/16 for my Santa Fe out the door price is $372.76. These are free shipping, so I'm wondering if my eyes are deceiving me. Is this too good to be true? It's not my birthday, I didn't get a beej, so I know I can't be that lucky. That's $250 less than everyone else for off-brand.

I looked into it. Seemed alright but has some bad reviews as far as customer service and shipping times but decent tires.

I figured since the shipping is free, they'll probably ship them via Pony Express. So I should get them by the time I qualify for AARP.

In the shipping section it says they'll ship 2-10 days depending on stock. And then I'm sure they'll ship it snail mail so yeah. Might want to make sure you'll still have the car by the time you get them. Honestly if you didn't care about the wait it sounds like a decent place to save some money

I saw that, and honestly I'm not desperate for them. It has street tires that were on it when I got it almost 40k miles ago, and they're just showing some dry rot, and two leak down over the course of a week. Another couple of weeks won't kill me. Only slipped when I've wanted to. The awd system is pretty good, I have to say.
I bought this thing 4 years ago just after my ex's lawyer bent me over, when I needed a decent all-around daily driver. I hate to admit it, especially after owning 7 Mustangs and a 944 turbo, but this little Korean suv may be the best overall car I've ever owned.

A guy at work owns one and he loves it. Another guy is set on buying one because his mom has one and apparently she's REALLY rough on cars and it has almost 200k on it.

I bought it with 132k, and I've done basic maintenance only. Only problems were the water pump went out, so I did the timing belt at the same time, and the air bag light stays on. It's got 171k now. Advice to the guy looking for one: make sure it has had the front coil spring recall done. Mine was done in November. I'll take a pic tomorrow. It's some contraption that keeps the spring from hitting the tire if it rusts through and breaks.

Are there only certain years that had the recall?

2001-2006, in salt-belt states. Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Michigan, etc. Basically it's just a clamp below the strut. If it's not been done, have them do it. I think if the springs are nearly rusted through they replace them free. If I understood correctly. Columbia Hyundai did mine. Took just over an hour. My only complaint about it is the leg room in the driver seat. I'm 6'1" with a 34" inseam. After about 30 minutes my left knee starts aching. I blew the MCL 7 years ago, so I have to stretch it fairly frequently.

No problem. Just a reference, if it's awd it'll have a V6. 2.7L or 3.5L. The 2.7 has a 4-speed auto, the 3.5 will have a 5-speed auto. Yes, I'm a car nerd. Don't judge me.

I have actually used discount tire direct. They're pretty pricey on the all terrain stuff. Being that I live amongst the inbreds who don't pave roads, just throw down tar and chip, and warm it with a hairdryer and sunlight, I want something a bit tougher. (YOU READING THIS, Brown County Engineer TODD KLUXTON? LICK MY BUTT!) I decided against onlinetires, too many bad reviews about tires showing up with splits or bulges. Pep Boys has a buy 3 get 1 free, so I think I'll do that tonight. $584, out the door.

I usually use tirerack.com simply because they include road hazard and for the Sumis I bought they were cheaper than anyone else. Buying tires is a pain in the ass.
