I have no experience with either one of those. I used to run 1/8 scale nitro on-road and off-road years ago. Here is one bad dude! http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDNWF&P=0

I'd stick with Electric. The brushless setups they have these days can be just as fast as a nitro and you only have to worry about charging the batteries instead of feeding it fuel and glow plugs.

I like the nitro cars but they can be a huge pain. Also can't play indoors with them. Get an electric one and a few quick chargers and some extra batteries and your set.

I had Nitros as a kid, And just got rid of a 48" nitro Scarab a Few years ago ... LOL
I'm sticking with Electric for a while ... Was looking for personal insight, quirks, etc. with these two ... I know Traxxas is a reputable company and have been around a while ...
They will be here today, They are My Birthday present from my boys to me but for them, If that makes sense ??? LOL

From firsthand experience with the Stampede VXL, and my buddy's brushless Bandit, these two are a blast. The stampede should have wheelie bars, and for good reason. Both are fast, the stampede being a very fun yard basher. I had a pretty big yard in Florida, and we built a small course to run. With the LiPo batteries you should see 30+ minutes of run time. Enjoy!

Cool ... That's what I wanted to hear ... We have 3 mowed acres, So they should be good ...
We just unboxed them and are charging the batteries now ... LOL

Thanks for the info ...

Those things rock! I may grab one in the next week or so. I was always a T-Maxx fan, but I had an E-Maxx that was a hoot!

I looked everywhere and Jegs was the best deal on them ...
Now time for more batteries ...

I forgot about Pit Row. That guy will actually let you negotiate with him on price. Real good, knowledgeable guy. Even sells used trucks, if your budget is tight.

A lot cheaper than building a race car and you can have fun with it more! You just can't sleep in it!

The Slash is where it's at for bashing around. They are tough. I want the Raptor one! All my stuff is Tamiya, but I use the Traxxas ESCs since they are dirt cheap used.
