Has anyone tried the electric cutouts on a new 5.0? How was the sound, where did you put them and was there any issues?

Not a 11 but I have them on my 03 Mach, on a 3" custom Stainless Works exhaust. I had one motor burnout in about a hundred miles.

We decided to pass on the cutouts. Just an x pipe for now.

I've heard Coyote stock mustangs running wide open headers at NMRA and it is a wild sound. At least I assume that they are running wide open with no or very little muffler. No confusing them with any engine setup prior to 2011 due to the Flat Head V8 firing order that Ford went with when they designed the Coyote 5.0. The Roush exhaust sounds awesome on them with all of the baffles and cats still in place (one thing that they have done right). Not wide open loud but def turns heads when I jump on it. Many have also run the 2011/12 GT500 exhaust on the Coyote as well and that has a nice deeper note to it which would likely complement the X-pipe you just put on the car. Neither generates drone in the car. I also ran Magnaflow cat back exhaust (the street series not the magnapacks) and they had an awesome sound to them, with just a hint of drone. Much deeper note however. More old muscle car sounding. That setup is now on Sean's car unless he has since changed up to something else. Somethign else to consider is the Boss 302 exhaust midpipe setup that may still be available from FRPP. It is different. You'd have to see it. Has a second pair of exhaust pipes that come out just in front of the rear wheels. There is a baffle that can be removed from them that will make the car even more loud. THe factory mufflers are still in place coming out the arse. You don't see the additional pipes that are a part of that midpipe configuration. IT is an H-pipe however and last time I saw one they were going for about $750 or so new. Hoep this helps.
