As most know we are one of the largest Race Star dealers in the country.
We started sizing up with Race Star back at the NMRA world finals with SCT's car in the vendor area a few weeks back. The good news was the offsets hadn't really changed so there is no "S550 specific wheel" The bad news for the drag racers, Performance Package cars are essentially like the 13/14 GT500's.
This means, without changing brakes out, the fronts will be limited to the 18x5's on the front (no 17x4.5 or 17x7) and 17x9.5's or 18x10.5's on the rear (no 15x8 or 15x10's)
The next question was the regular gt. Looking at the specs, the fronts were rated 3mm smaller than the 5.0 Brembo packages up through 14. We were pretty sure the the 17x4.5's and 17x7's would still be a go. We confirmed this on Monday. The rear of the standard gt brakes ha increased as well, so, a minimum of some type of brake change is going to be needed for a 15" rear setup there as well.
Sadly we didn't realize the lugs had been swapped to 14mm x 1.5 until we went to mount them Monday. With getting the lugs in late, we went to work getting some pics in the sun, but we were losing daylight quick.
So, to sum it up.

now, on to some pics!
With the weight of these cars, were always a fan of the 17x7's, especially with plans of supercharging the car and adding even more weight. Additionally, you can pick up a front tire staring around $60 vs the M&H or M/T at closer to $200. It's also a little more street friendly but still cuts some weight.
We opted for the 17x7 front with a 215/65 and a 315/40/18 nt05 for the rear, both 28" tall.
Enjoy
