FYI you can run a 17" bullet wheel off an edge body. They will sit out a little further but no big deal as long as you retain a standard size tire on it. I ran a pair with Bridgestone Blizzak 245/45/17's (or was it 245/40/17?) on my 05 for winter driving on an edge rim and had no issues aside from the speedo being off by about 5-6MPH (HIGH). Fantastic in the snow. Sold them to an SBZ member that is still using them last I heard.

Tire size will determine the speedo difference, not the rims themselves. Standard new edge size is 245/45/17 I believe.

That is correct. and 235/50/17 are standard on an S197 27" tire vice 26" inch tire. Tune modules will allow to correct for this using rotations per mile. BUT as long as you are going shorter and not taller the only thing to concern yourself with is the OD. So you think you are driving 70 when you are only doing 64. Fewer tickets that way. LOL!

Not a lot Kevin. Want to know how much? Go to discounttiresdirect.com and find their tire calculator under the information tab.

He drives a mile to work everyday. .. in the winter they take the jeep when they go out so the od will not be a huge issue. Ill take what ever rim he can get cheap. Hes more of a tight ass than I am

^^^ A mile is more than far enough to wipe out an S197 on the factory tires. I've been caught in a skift of snow in my 05 on those things and I like to never got home. On the other hand, and they were worth every penny, the Blizzaks from Bridgestone made that car handle great in snow. Drove 28 miles each way with that setup. 5+ inches of unplowed on Cross County Highway on more than one occasion. I could not get over how those tires hooked in the snow. Only takes one at fault accident to cost you way more than two blizzaks per year for the next three.
