View Full Version : Anyone ever own a 350z
Cobra is gone. I still have the 2014 gt im married to. Looking for anotner toy. Something fun on the back roads and has enough power to be entertaining on the highway. Leaning toward a 350z or an e46 (2001 to 2006 I think) m3 bmw. Other ideas are welcome too. The 350z low miles I can get from 8000 to 12000. M3 ive found coupe and convertible for 12500 to 14500 price range for 01 to 04. 350z would be 04 to 07. 370z is more than I want to spend. If youve had one or know anythingmabout them let me know what you thought. Thanks

If you ever look underneath a 350z you would be impressed. They are built to handle. They run pretty darn well. If you want some corner hugging fun, then the z would be a great option.
No the cobra went to its new home tonight. Not at wyler. Thanks for the input on the z. I always liked the older porsche 911 and this reminds me of one. Also thought about an audi s4. Probably the v8 awd one as I imagine the twin turbo one is a headache to own.

Better off with the 350 over the 370. The latter did away with the oil cooler and you can run into overheating issues if you run it hard.

If I remember right some of the early 350Z 's had some front suspension issues that never really got completely worked out during the model run. If you do get one though, look for one with the track pack or enthusiast edition...whatever they called it. Has the bigger Brembo front brakes and some suspension mods if I remember right.

Would own a later model RX7 (not an 8) before I wold buy a Z anything post 280ZX.
I've had the rx7. Believe it or not more than one. . Don't want to spend the 93 and up rx7 money. They are pricy. 28z would be fun but I want newer with less headaches.

I've had some friends with 350z's and g35's (same car) and they have all had positive comments on them. I wouldn't mind owning a 350z myself. However the RX8s handle very well, but I would swap out the motor for something more reliable than the rotary. After seeing what its capable of, a RX8 with the 3.7l out of the new v6 mustangs would be bad ass.
I don't care for the rx8.

Sean if you told me you have owned 3 Buggati Veyrons I would believe you with all the cars you have been through and the dirt cheap price you can get them at. Sounds to me you have already made your decision as you always have before posting. Just go buy the damn thing and then post pics. If you don't like it you'll still make money on it when you sell it and be ahead that much more.
Lol. Haven't made up my mind you. . Need to drive one.

Sean
I have never driven a 350 or 370 but hear a lot of positives. I love the lines of the car. The only negatives are complaints of a cheap interior. I know you won't keep it long and move to something else but I would go that route.
I'm used to cheap looking interior. I did own a c6. Lol
For the money, an E46 M3 is hard to beat

I'd go with the G35. They have a back seat and are nicer all around.
Love the m3. not real big on the looks of the g35
