I'm heading down early Friday morning. I'll be running in True Street on Saturday. Right now nxcoupe is going with me and we are camping at the track.

Kevin and I are still debating if we should bring the WinneGhetto and golf cart or do the hotel thing ...
The only downside to the hotel is missing all the Fun that occurs after dark !!!

Looks now like a one day trip for me. Head down Saturday morning, spend the day watching and drive back late Saturday evening.

Just got back from an awesome day of spectating at BG, KY NMRA. Saw a car in the True street class working on a high 7 sec average on his three passes after driving the required 30 miles. One of the other classes had a car run into the high 6's and of course the jet car (shutting it down at the 1000 ft mark) went 5.78ish. Times would have been lower had the drivers not been running dead into a head wind all day.

Like to froze of the ole Johnson in spite of the sunny 61 degree high due to a cold breezy day. Still a good time over all.

I lasted until 3am this morning camping at the track. I threw in the sleeping bag and checked in to a hotel. Thanks to the weather we got no passes yesterday but I had fun running true street today. I also ran 4 consecutive personal best and made my first 11 second pass. The car went 11.99 @ 117 on 6 year old drag radials.

Way to go. That true street class was packed. Had to be at least one hundred fifty cars in that class. Bet it was colder than a well digger's butt Friday and Saturday night as well. Had to turn the furnace on here at the house for the first time this fall.

Phil kissed the wall at one point while racing Urist, not sure how bad it is but he was on a pass when it happened.

I didn't see it but Ronnie Diaz hit the wall pretty hard yesterday as well. When did Hines and Urist wreck?

That's Cal, car makes crazy power. I believe those are 80mm turbos on like 430+ cubes.

The True Street field is crazy anymore. I remember when Dan Millen went 9.30's at Norwalk and that was fast!

We live in the workd of 7 sec street cars. Kind of dissheartening isnt it?

Probably gone deeper if you weren't driving into a strong head wind.

I would definitely have gone deeper on stickier tires and with some more gear. Even with the 4.56 I don't think I am shifting in to 4th until close to 1000 ft. out. I wish they would post up more pictures from true street...or even better video. I'd love to hear what it what it sounds like shifting gears at 7200+

If you try to keep up with them, yes! lol

I think it's cool but completely out of reach for me so I don't sweat it. I still think a 9sec car is crazy fast.
