I have been a faithful customer of Jessee's Shell in Milford for a couple of years or more. They were always pretty reasonable on their gas prices with a simple 10 cent difference between the grades.
A month or two ago that all changed. They still advertise a fairly low price on regular, but instead of 20 cents a gallon more for premium, it's at LEAST 30 cents more. I have 4 cars and 2 bikes and all but 2 use premium. Jessee's has lost me as a customer. I used to drive out of my way past a lot of stations to buy from Jessee's, but no more.

More and more cars are requiring 93 and they know it.

I have been running Kroger 93 octane and my 'Stang seems to like it fine,
Today Jessee's priced 93 octane at 381.9. I bought Krogers 93 for 3.55.9.
Now in winter I retune my 'Stang for the 87 octane. If Jessee's 87 is reasonable I'll go back. If not, I'll stay with the big K.

With that kind of price difference I'd have to leave Ole Jesse behind myself lol, is that straight price or with the Kroger card points?

UDF has recently done the same thing. 15 cent hike per octane upgrade. The Shell up the street from there has been doing 20 cents hike per octane upgrade for several years now. Like mentioned more cars are requiring 93 and the demand is up would likely be the answer to that.

All gas comes out of the same pipeline. The only difference is the additives they put in it. Speedway stations still have 10 cent differences between grades too.

That was straight price.

I have noticed something very strange concerning ole' Jessee. I check the prices on Gas Buddy and every time I look, Jessee is listed at like 20 cents above regular, not the 30 cents or more it actually is. Hmmm

There is no way in hell a shell or a BP will be able to compete with a Kroger price or Sam's Jesse has been able to try to compete because of his garage after lykins leasing went he lost a lot of business.best pricing is Sam's Loveland or costco's, Sam's sells bout 14,000 gallon a day, I do agree tho these fuel prices pay hell on my paycheck tho!

The awesome thing about SAMs is they aren't fulling anyone with that bullshit mid grade.

Bad thing about Sam's is they have a cut rate on delivery and it pays nothing for me to deliver up there I think it's b.s because Sam's not hurting for money!!

That's doing business with Walmart. They beat up every vendor on price so they can be pennies lower than the competition.

I honestly only take a load up there if I got something coming out of the pipeline in Lebanon to bring one back down to cincy to make any coin or use the load for a home load on my last load, I've seen Sam's at 40-50 cents cheaper than the Meijer right beside it that makes for hell getting the rig in there.

There's a BP station on Vine in Hartwell that had premium $.60 more per gallon than regular. It is becoming an epidemic. Gas stations are doing the same thing as airlines with their baggage fees--as long as everyone does it (except Southwest) the consumer is fucked.

93 has been more than 20 cents over regular at shell stations since they introduced V Power but its gotten far ridiculous as of late.

3.39 Last night for me. You gotta pay to play. Shell is one of the only tier one fuels around. If BMW says you have to buy it the owners buy it.

Those gas companies pay a lot for those labels in cars with their names.... And we wonder why prices keep going up
