I havent driven my car in close to a year, ive come along way with getting it ready, but its still a long way away from making fast passes.
My question is, would you rather slap the motor in it this year just to drive it again or wait until it's done. It really needs a cage, battery relocation, k member. And some other random "shit" I can maybe get everything to make it run by September but is it worth bringing it out.
I really just want to drive it, and get the motor done just for the simple fact its hard to hold interest in something im just pouring money into. But I want it done and at the strip asap

A car you cant get out and enjoy isn't any fun. Ive had more fun in my Cobra even though it is slower than some of the race cars Ive had. I don't want to waste time working on it all the time. I want to enjoy them.

no car sitting on jack stands is any fun. I say finish it and be sociable. There is still a good 6 weeks of fun left by September...hopefully, or more. meanwhile come cruise with the gearheds on 7/27 in that new focus you got.
But its your car do what you want to with it.

I want to just finish it and bring it out completely done, but its so hard just to pour thousands into something and see nothing lol. I can get it road worthy. . I think. The trans just may not last the few weeks its on tbe road. Its going to be a time bomb

I have a friend I went to high school with who bought an 89 lx 2.3 when we were 18, and his whole intention was to build a 347 stroker for it. It took him until we were 33 to get it the exact way he wanted. It sat in his garage, then airplane hangar, then my garage throughout the years, never driving. Now that he's done, he's completely satisfied with his labors. If you're fairly close, I say see it complete right, the first time.
I personally don't have that kind of patience or commitment, but if you do....

Its close. But my thought is like if the motors done and running it will be easier to save the money for a cage, and trans ect when I can tell my self like look it will be so much cooler when I get such and such on the car. Not its like yippee I just spent 1k on a short block and parts and the fuel system isnt done -_-
