I've got a near-bone stock Ford 8.8 in my '03 mustang with 4.10's installed. Works great, I've never raced with it, kept up on fluid changes, etc.. Long story short the 4.10's are just too much gear for me. I'm looking to find somebody with a stock rear axle assembly to swap with. If there's gears that have been installed, I don't want anything more than 3.55's. No one wheel peel or whine at all from my rear end, and I'd expect the same from whoever I swap with.

Does anybody know of one that's looking for 4.10's?

There's about a 10% difference between 4.10's and 3.73, 15% for 3.55, and 20% for 3.27. I've already got traction problems in 1/2 and most of the time in 3rd, I just don't see it getting much better with 3.73. Plus I'll be switching to a smaller pulley for more boost soon, so the problem will be even worse.

I have some free 3.27 gears, but it would be a lot easier to just swap assemblies.
