NMRA NORWALK 6/12-15 ???

Norwalk is a 3:20 or so drive from Cincinnati.

Is anyone planning to go watch any or all of this event in June? Thinking about going up Friday and/or Saturday.

so far our plan is to go up there Saturday morning and stay over for sunday elims

I'm working with a SBZ member or two on a potential run up early, early Sat morning for the day or head up Friday (have to take a vaca day since I am on second) and stay overnight somewhere to allow us to catch Saturday as well. Sunday is FATHERS DAY. So I have to be back for that.

Just spoke to another guy here at work who is on the board and I am trying to get him to drive up with me. He was wanting to go to Norwalk but with that being Daddy Day weekend he's getting back with me. If he doesn't go I'll likely decline as well and stay local to enjoy some XOS action at KK that night.

Met with Gordon tonight at Fillmores. Found out UMTR is also running Saturday night. So its a major tossup. Three great events and only one day. Kinda leaning to NMRA since we have only been there once. Will give you another update when we get closer Saturday Wicked. Sorry. Three great events in one day makes it a tough decision.

no worries man, we went to tri state Saturday (first time I raced in years) and that made me more excited to go watch big boys at norwalk

Headin' up to Norwalk at 6:00aM Saturday morning. Assume WCKD THAT YOU WILL BE CUTTING ACROSS I-70 to catch I-71 North. If so we can meet up at a rest area on I-71 North just North of Columbus Saturday morning. I'm 1:45 from that rest area and Trenton, Oh is 1:45 as well to that spot give or take 15 minutes so it would be a good meeting point if you like. Figure we could roll into that rest area NLT 8:00 - 8:10am in a worst case scenario. THAT IS ASSUMING DOT HAS NOT CLOSED THAT REST AREA.

The rest area is about 9 miles north of the I-71/I-270 junction north of Columbus. We could meet there if you prefer or just hook up at Norwalk when we arrive. Whatever works for you. We'll be easy to spot. Just look for the bright green mustang rolling into the rest area. PM me your phone number if you wish. I don't have texting. See ya!!

Leaving for Norwalk at 6am Saturday. Meeting at the rest area North of Columbus at 8:00am. Never too late. Rest area is 9miles North of the I270/I71 junction on the north side of Columbus.

May still be back in time for UMTR or XOS. Just depends...

Great day at NMRA. Saw some serious 8 second 1/4 mile cars and plenty front suspensions catching air time. Great facility. Just as hospitable as they were for NHRA 2 years back. Great hanging out with Bob and wife today as well (WCKDGT).

^^^ next month its KK for XOS series for sure. Pulled Pork BBQ at norwalk has nothing on KK BTW.
