So my wife and I have been looking at houses and one of the things I have been looking for is a bigger garage…at leads a 3 car attached and a bonus would be a detached garage. Well we found couple of houses we like and we are going to take a second look at next week. That got me thinking though. Both houses are in a neighborhood where I don't think "race" cars would really be appreciated which at first makes me say no way but then I started thinking a little more. Also it will be difficult and cost prohibitive to build a detached on one of the properties. I've come to the conclusion that the wilder the car gets the more it sits and collects dust in the garage.I am seriously thinking of ditching the drag suspension, face plated trans, and big cams for something I am more comfortable driving on the street and that maybe doesn't quite ruffle the feathers of my wife (who hates the smell) and possibly the future neighbors. Of course the other option is part the thing out and by a 2015.:cool2:

Quitter.

You should move to the country. Living in a township has a lot of benefits. Burnouts, bonfires and shooting guns just to name a few.

Well first priority is good schools for our son, but truthfully I'm tired of the car just sitting in the garage because I don't have time to race.

Country is where it's at! I even live in a gated community... with all my cars lol

Something in the country would be ideal but finding what we want in "the country" is proving next to impossible. The other thing I've considered is I want to be able to put my son in it at some point and go places. That just won't be possible with a race car.

You don't need an excuse to sell your car, just do it. :D

Why don't I just throw my money in a pile and set it on fire. :)

I LOL'd

Kids love racecars... if he's destined to be a true gearhead it will be the only way you can put him to sleep at night. Dad and Mom used to take me and my sister for a ride in Dad's '65 Fairlane when we were little, knock us right out.

It was probably just all the lead laced, smog inducing exhaust fumes!

There is plenty of country feel out here in Lebanon Ohio and the schools are pretty great.

DAMN Cam !!! You don't have to be that Skeerded of the Vert to part out and sell it !!! LOL

And for what it's worth ... Typically your small rural/farm areas will have Excellent Schools ...
That's the reason we moved to where we did ...
Jusr my $.02 ...

It's going to get some changes to make it more street car and less race car but it's not going anywhere. The other thing to consider is that we are also trying to balance the location with my wife working at WPAFB and me working in Blue Ash.

Lebanon would be a good are for you gusy to split the driving. Dont go changing your car back and forth. Take it from someone that has several times.

I'm at the point now where it either becomes a full blown race car or it stays a street car. Considering how little time I have to race these days a street car makes a lot more sense.

The full-blown race car thing has about zero appeal to me anymore. A fun, powerful street car with creature comforts and as few bad habits as possible.
