Come on dude, I fucking love to mow. Its my time to just do something virtually thoughtless and shut everything else off. I mowed about 5 acres sat. 2 at the house JD 749, and 3 at the warehouse JD 2720. I love to mow.
I grew up doing it, I concur with your opinion.

Yep, 5 acres. A 60" zero turn makes it fairly fun though.

Zero turn definetly makes it more bearable . I'd be happier if my yard was a little smoother and I had a big 40x60 building in the back to eat up some yard.

Just over a 1/2 acre in grass now....takes me just under a hour with a 42" JD zero turn. Takes me just as long to do the trimming/blowing.

3/4 of an acre. It's much more fun with my new bobcat 52 zero turn mower. Start to finish in under 30 mind

1 acre. There's a few trees but there in awkward spots so I'd love to get a zero turn someday. Takes me forever to do it on my 46" rider but that's my "me" time. My neighbor has a commercial 60" zero turn and he always like to offer to help since he can do it in about 30 minutes but I don't think he understands I like mowing. Throw my headphones on and go into my own little world.

About a 1/2 acre around the house, about 15 acres of pasture......I dont mind the mowing, but I do like bushhogging the fields.....sitting on the tractor for hours give you time to think. Other than the throne, its where I come up with my best ideas!

I actually enjoy mowing. I have 5 acres at home and another 6 at 2 other properties. Give me my headphones and some internet radio and I'm ready.

When we bought our LAST (hope I never need another) mower I looked at the zero turns and decided to go with a 4 wheel steer. That little fucker we have can do anything, I bought a snow blower, rotary broom and a plow for it. Snow removal is easy as hell except every fucking neighbor in the hood wants me to do their drives but I never run out of free beer (wont take money from my neighbors).

I grew up cutting an acre of land. On a Allis Chalmers garden tractor that's was about old enough to be my grandfather. My dad still has it and keeps it kicking to cut that very same yard.
It looks similar to this but has electric lift and blade control

Just do like the state does in freeway off ramps throw up a few " natural wildflower recovery area" signs and let it grow. Mowing the grass is a chore my wife thinks I hate but I secretly enjoy it.

.997 acres...trusty old "FREE" MTD Ranch King gets it done in about an hour and a half....if it decides to keep running the whole time!!!

I started mowing the family yard at age 8. At age ten we moved away from town. There we had an acre. I mowed that with a push mower for two years or so. When I was about 12 or 13 dad finally bought a 36" cut Yard Man. Then it was fun until I had to drag out the electric weed eater and three heavy duty 50ft extension cords. We had a side lot that I would turn into a golf hole. Of course putting was impossible, but it sure helped with the short game 50-60 yards in.

I am the only one in my neighborhood that cuts their own lawn. About .7 acres with a push mower(1.5 hours). I don't enjoy cutting it every 4-5 days with the rain we have been getting.

I have an acre lot probably half is grass. I push mow it takes 1.5 hours. I enjoy the exercise but my allergies don't agree with it.

We agree on something. I don't like mowing simply because it's not my lawn, I rent. Couple with that the fact that he pays to have the damn yard treated and you have about 3" of growth every 5 days. If it was a once a week or every other week deal, I wouldn't mind, but if it rains on a weekend and I get behind, I have 1' piles of grass that build up because the 46" Husqvarna can't mulch that much grass. So it builds up no matter how slow I go and the piles either have to be picked up or the grass dies under them. I don't think I'd mind if I could have a beer and listen to some music while I do it, but he didn't have the back yard smoothed out before they seeded, so it's like going off roading the entire time I mow the nearly 1/2 acre back yard. lol. Just venting I guess, it does beat the hell out of shoveling the driveway that is downhill in two directions, yes, I didn't stutter, you'd have to see it to understand. Probably the worst thought out house design I've ever seen but we're stuck here till we can buy another house and it will have a small yard or I'll make enough money to have someone mow it for me. lol.

Yeah, that's the other thing. I'm allergic to grass, weeds, and tree pollen, so when I come in from mowing, I feel like warmed over batshit.

Sounds like you need to work on making your mower faster....humz....new intake or turbo kit for it?

My toro zero turn will already pull the wheels but I bet it would benefit from a 10 shot. :)

Well crap! I mowed wed thinking I'd get a leg up, went out yesterday and it's already 3" longer than it was. I have no clue how this crap grows so damn fast. I'm going to text the owner and beg him to stop spraying this fertilizer crap on it. Damn. Guess tomorrow I'm bailing my lawn.

Probably just temporary but I bought a 50" cub cadet zero turn and I actually look forward to mowing! The zero turn keeps it interesting and I can do it in half the time of my 42" john deer:D

I use a 20" cut manual (no power drive) push mower with about a 2 hour job at least once a week... after fertilizer, twice a week.

Ah..just bring up one of your "little" tractors from the farm....should be able to have it mowed in under a 1/2 hour. Other wise...time for a 60" zero turn if the lot is pretty flat. Zero turns don't like hills to much...slide to easy.

This might be overkill and a little tough to maneuver around the landscaping.

Youre moving again?? Didnt you just finish that place?
My opinion would be to salt the ground... nothing will ever grow again lol then just put polished creek stones out there. maintenance free!

We've been here 10 years, but were moving to Clearcreek township for better schools and no income tax.
