Our family welcomed into the world our little man on April 14. JJ Stewart (John Jr.) was delivered a few weeks early due to some complications my wife had (something called cholestasis for those who are medically inclined). This was a bit of a surprise to us, but we had an idea it was coming because my wife had become really itchy, which is one of the primary symptoms. I got to be in the OR for the C-Section this time around and it was an incredible experience to share with my wife. JJ was 7lbs and 19 inches and is doing great. He got down to 6lbs 11oz by the time we left the hospital and is up to 7lbs 8oz and 21 inches long as of his 2 week appointment this morning. My girls (3 year old twins) are ecstatic and love being big sisters. JJ is definately living up to his namesake so far. In addition to looking just like me as a baby, JJ's favorite things in life are sleeping, pooping, and his mom's boobs!

Here's a pic of JJ (left) and a picture of me that my wife dug up from when I was a baby (right)

Congrats for putting the proverbial stem on the apple as Bill Cosby told it. Hope the wife is doing fine now as well.

Watching a C-section???? No thanks. Simply watching a calving process on animal planet makes me get light headed. DAG! YOU DUH MAN!

Thanks everyone. Watching the C-Section was an experience. There was a sheet up, but being the tall mofo I am I could see right over it. The smell of burning flesh from the cauterizing was probably the oddest thing. I even watched while they pulled her Uterus out after the baby was delivered in order to tie her tubes. It didn't bother me one bit and my wife was a total trooper. They gave her some feel good drugs as soon as they delivered the baby and she was in lala land for a while. There may or may not be a video on my tablet of her ramblings.
