The more I drive this markviii the more I want to yank the drivetrain and stick it in something that doesn't weigh 2tons but I don't have time or money to start a new projects even if I think it would only take a few weekends to have a ranger swap done

Put some gear in it. I had a 94 and it ran like a bandit other than having no balls coming off the line. I don't think they even had a 3.08 in them. Bet a 355 or 373 would wake the car right up. Don't know if those cars require retuning after gearing with the auto though. And then again you may have already put a shorter gear in it.

its has a 3.07 stock from what I understand 4.11s are the way to go on these cars but i want to sell it to buy a sportster

If it's an 8.8 get some 4.10's or 4.30's and have the car tuned and I bet it wi be a helluva lot more fun to drive.

knew that was a great gear for 2V mod engines in 5 speed edge bodies but wasn't sure how the gearing was in automatics. Understand that you are interested in trading or selling so you can get a Harley. Like said though, 4.10's and a tune and that car will WTHeck up. I loved my 94 even with the factory gear.
