View Full Version : aluminum cylinder head repair
Where is a good local place to get an aluminum cylinder head repaired. I had a fuel problem and melted a hole in a piston. For the most part the head looks fine but has some of the melted piston stuck in the combustion chamber.

He passed away and his family auctioned off everything, I was there. I wished I would have purchased some of the equipment, some of it went dirt cheap.

I wouldn't take a weed eater engine to Performance Clinic!
I used them several years ago to repair a spark plug hole on a pair of twisted wedge heads, the threads were buggered up. They basically destroyed the head. They re-tapped it at a different angle. The chamber was all messed up because the sparkplug now came through in a different location.
I pointed it out and they said it must have been that way when I brought it in. They did nothing to make it right.
