I had a guy off ebay do my bolt on my 700. He skeletonized the bolt lever, installed larger tactical knob and refinished it for around 100 with return shipping. I think turn around time once he received my bolt was 2 weeks and he was on vacation one week.

Mother trucker its even cheaper now.

I think the guy did pretty good for the price and he is really easy to work with. I'm gonna keep this gun pretty much stock this year, if I like it I'll have the bolt sleeved and I think do a magazine conversion on it.

No its a 300 Win Mag. Its the 700 XCR, the stock is factory and the barrel is already fluted from the factory. Id post a full pic of it but its locked up and Ive been outside all day and I feel like some one beat my ass.

I can't quite remember the price but it took me almost a year to track one down and I finally got one from Bud's in KY. Its the second hard to find long gun I've bought from them and highly recommend them.

I didn't loose just 1. I lost them all....... lol

Rob and I took a Lil fishing trip and we had just been to the range to hunt grizzly deer. On the way back our boat tipped over and we lost everything in the red sea.

If your wanting to do tactical shoots you may want to consider a different model of Nightforce. The Comp models only have 60 moa of travel, 1/8 moa turrets, and dot reticles. The 15-55 power wont be much use other than target shooting. Nightforce makes great scopes, but I would choose a different model for TVP use.

In my opinion, the NXS line would be more flexible for that type of shooting. I have a Vortex Razor, and I like it really well, it's loaded with features. I also just bought a Bushnell DMR, for the money, that scope is hard to beat.

Also, for you guys looking into buying scopes, If you sign up as a rewards member at Optics Planet, and do a review of an item, they will email you a 10% off coupon. They have no tax and free shipping on items over $50. So if you work it right, the item will be 10% cheaper than advertised, to your door.

The Bushnell I just bought sells for $1449 at Midway, Optics Planet has it on sale for $1219, minus 10% made it $1097.10 to my door. It's worth checking them out when your ready to buy.
