Has anyone done any business with either of them? I'm in the market to build a dedicated 5.56 upper and wanted to do it somewhat inexpensive (See: I'm not looking for sub MOA at 600 yards). I've seen mixed reviews online about them, seems like a hit or miss place. I know nothing about their barrels (I saw a few 16" ones that interested me) or BCG's.

Where are you guys getting your lowers, if they are 80%s or similar how hard are they to finish.

80's can be finished with a drill press, but a mill makes it better. Most of them can be ordered with jigs. Or you can do this....

I have a few copies of the .pdf saved remotely.

I've bought parts from them. The barrel on my pistol is from them. Mind you it's only 7 inches but, she works great paid 125 shipped for it. Cheaper than anywhere else and I'm happy. It shipped out almost a week after and took a week to get here but finish was good on it. Id buy from them again for sure!

They have great deals but I've order a parts kit from them waited a month and the. Got an email that it couldn't be sent. And they refunded my money. A fucking month to figure that out. I was heated. I tried them again over a week ago and still no shipping.

Ice arms has good deals, hell just google what you want and the sales come up

I've been looking at these for some time but just haven't had the balls to commit. The last drill press I had I didn't use for about five years and got rid of it. I'm gonna keeping looking at build videos and get out the crown royal. Usually the credit card comes out next.

I found a website along time ago and I cant remember who it was. You could order a whole package with all the components u picked and it priced everything for you as you pick your components. Does anyone have a site like that?

I was thinking about buying a bunch of 80% lowers and giving them away when you purchased mill time to finish them. But I wasn't sure about the BATFE legalities of it.

Could I get a copy of that PDF?

Nevermind, it's on that page.

Would it be legal to do a group buy of 10 and split them out or would the original purchaser be the owner? I think I'd be looking for about 3.

From what I can gather (I have not contacted a field office on this), they are legal to transfer and sell in their 80% complete state. Once it has been machined, they are no longer transferable, either thru a sale/trade or as a gift.

well it anyone wants to do a group buy, I'd be in for 3-5. I have a pistol and an old Colt Delta Elite (I do not use). I'd like to build a carbine and a target gun. I sold my Colt Hbar when the prices were way up.

I may be down for a few in the future. I want to build a few Christmas rifles for people who helped me thru my laid off year.

I try not to sign for anything. I buy private seller unless its something I know I wont find on the secondary market like my 300 win mag.

I also saw some polymer lowers on poly80. They seemed interesting.

That's the first I've seen of those, sounds cheap and easy enough. I may pick one of those up and give it a shot. At 75.00 there's not much to lose.

Just another thought, maybe we could pass the jigs around, pay the owner x amount to use it per lower so everyone doesn't have to invest in one.

Just a thought.

Save everyone 100 a pop. Of coarse someone not using the right size bit one time and the jig is buggered.

Honestly just get on armslist and buy a Lower that you don't need an ffl for... Why spend more money than you have to. I have a rifle I'm gonna slowly add parts to and be under 500 dollars. And it may or may not be paperless lol but the government isn't gonna know for sure you have an ar15

True, but I would like to have a few on hand. For that "just in case" scenario. Plus they're great bartering tools in a WORL situation.

True, but I also like the feeling of completing something myself. I've always been a person who loves to make something from nothing, and this helps my need to tinker lol.

Just a stripped omni lower. I was going to use it on a pistol build. But I found some umbrella arms corporation lowers that I'm using instead. I can text pics.

Rob, I'm probably gonna be switching out parts on my lower if you're looking for some mil spec stuff. At least the 6 position stock, buffer/spring/tube assembly and pistol grip are going bye bye, all are Palmeto State pieces.
