Thanks everyone, about time we all got back into racing and having some fun at the nmra. Most of the races are close and I always have fun at them, even if the shit breaks. It's just cool hanging out with everyone. Dave took some of the engine apart yesterday, it's looking pretty good inside. Surprising how similar the shortblock is to an older 4.6

Good luck in C/M Mike and Dave. Hope you get the turbo combo to work well with a stick.

Do I ever let common sense get in the way of my projects? no, I don't. lol. I'm going to give it a shot. I have been talking with a bud that builds high hp supra's and most of them are stickshifts and they seem to do pretty well. He's given me some ideas to try. If all else fails, I'll move onto a powerglide.

Nope, not at all. I'm not sure what fuel we are allowed to use now either. I'm going to push for E98 or VP E85 because whether you use the factory electronics or say a holley system, they both use widebands that will get toasted by the leaded race fuel. I'm going to write them and see what I can find out.

Yep, stop out!

ain't gonna happen, I've been trying to get drag radials, they aren't letting those in, said people will complain,

I'm like, how can you complain when you get to pick whatever works best for your combo.

as far as fuel, they can't test e85, it's going to end up being c16 just like all the other classes that have spec fuel.

your going to have to go stand alone

we are going with a haltech setup, you'll probably need that or a fast or something similar with widebands for leaded fuel

were pretty much ready to rock other than the haltech and getting some weight out. vortech is working on a head unit right now

I think it will be an 8 sec class pretty quickly. How far in the 8's who knows? But I know everyone will be pushing their shit to the limits.

we went 9.03 with 1000rwhp with the jt trim, that was foot braking with the factory auto. the ti will be smaller, but vortech thinks they can get me to 1000rwhp still.

the 9.03 was at 3875lbs

@ 3250 with a glide, should be an 8 second ride out of the gate.

if your not running 8's you won't be competitive in this class imo

just hoping it stays above 8.50 so I don't have to mess with another cage...

It will definatly be a 8 second class....just depends on how fast it becomes a mid 8 second class.
