Riding around with a friend tommorow to pick him out a new powerstroke, where's a good dealer that stocks alot powerstrokes? And what should we look for before purchasing? I think he's paying half in cash and financing the other half.. And heads up on anything would be nice to hear before purchasing, thanks chris

That's the big question. I have a 6.7 and love it. This is my 5th Superduty and overall much better truck than any of the others. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is really quiet. I normally add a cold air, straight pipe and a tuner but on these trucks it costs about 2K-2500 just to get rid of the exhaust and the filter. So far my mileage is around 15 with mixed driving empty but its a F450.
I did have a bad ass 6.0 F550 Manning Conversion that was a really nice truck. The 6.0 with and exhaust, tuner and cold air would haul ass but I had a couple issues with the motor and every time I had to haul or tow with it there was always that concern in the back of my head that it would breakdown on me.
In our area Richart has a lot on their lot if your buying new. The superdutys are sold through their commercial vehicles and we have a great guy there we deal with. If he's going used I wouldn't recommend going there, they are a PIA on the used car side.

I really like my 06. There good trucks as long as you keep up on them. Oil changes on time are a must.

Mike Castrucci in Alexandria had a bunch a couple months back, not sure what they have now. Ask for salesman Mike Routt. The Alexandria location is much easier to deal with than Milford.
Beechmont Ford always has about 20 or so Super Dutys on the lot as well
Man, they are getting expensive though, even on A/Z/X plans.......

Go to www.Ford.com. Do a build up what he is looking for and do an area search. All exact and even close matches will be listed. Just driving around to Ford dealers and asking who MIGHT have them will be a crap shoot.

I'll give a thumbs up to Castrucci in Alexandria, I used to work there see Jeff Cheser knows what he's talking about when it comes to the new powerstrokes and any of the cars on the lot, Mike is an idiot no offense lol but if you go there tell them Michael Fleming sent you there, Jeff will know me.

THIS!! The last two cars I bought new I entered all the options and everything just the way I wanted them and found EXACT matches. My ranger was at Lebanon Ford back in 09 and unfortunately my wifes Fusion Hybrid was at Bitchmont Ford a couple years ago.

Not to jack the thread but this maybe helpful. My 450 I bought about 6 mos ago had 40k on it and the leather was completely fd already. Realizing that even if the guy neglected them the inserts should last a lot longer than that. My seats are heated/cooled so the inserts are perforated, but they have cracks on the inserts already.
