Anyone ever ran one of these? I am getting an itch to run a power adder on my junk carb set up.

Yes, back in the late 90's. It was a huge disappointment. Makes way too much heat and extremely inefficient. Much better options for carb cars.

Shelby used centri style Paxtons on his carb cars in the 60's. A friend's dad who was a Shelby hound had a 65 GT350 that had the Paxton package on it. Took the 289 hypo from 323 to roughly 435 HP and created I believe about 5 psi. Could be an option. Doesn't B&M also make a roots style blower for carb apps???

Yeah, The B&M is the same as the Weiand as they are both Holley brand... hmmm maybe On3 kit with a CSU carb...

This, or do a plate kit to keep some cash in your pocket.

That explains the similar appearance then. Wasn't aware of that. Thanks.

Noslo50 did an install of one of these, several years ago. It was not really a direct bolt on (but, most power adders aren't). I think he would advise you, to not waste your time and money on it.

I had one of these one a full interior 87 monte ss with a 383. I corrected the heat issue buy taking a 2" spacer plate and drilled it front and rear and installed alcohol nozzles from devil's own. That thing ran in the 10's pretty easy. My buddies 71 Chevrolet ran 9.60's with a similar setup:D I like them they. Make good power and they are cool looking!!:bigthumb

Thanks Bill. Yea our chevelle went 9.69 with a home made water meth setup on a 383 with the smaller 144" blower.... so power can be made. And our car is all steel, full interior, 3580lbs with a driver on a 10" tire...
