Anybody daily drive a 5 or 6 speed diesel truck?

Just wondered if it got annoying after a while. I have driven them before but not on a regular basis. My silver truck now has a new owner and I am on the hunt for another one. It just seems like there are a lot of nicer manual transmission trucks out there right now. Any opinions on 5 speed vs. 6 speed in a 03+ Cummins? I looked at a pretty well built 6 speed truck over the weekend and it was great for the 20 minutes I drove it.

I had a 6 speed 24v cummins it wasnt bad shifting and driving around,I will admit with my new truck there is nothing like putting it in D and just going.

I just traded my 06 Dodge 3500 6 sp off on a F450 auto. I just get tired of shifting all the fn time because I drive trucks all day.

My buddy has a 6spd cummins I drive all the time. It's fun but I don't know if I could do it daily, it's too nice to just stab and stear your in 6th gear by 40 mph in a 6spd

It depends on what kind of driving you do most of the time. I loved my 94 cummins with 5 speed, but I mostly drove it on the highway. I think it would get old if you had a lot of stop and go traffic in your commute.
