Looking for a small set of slicks up to 8.5" wide 22-24.5 possibly a 26 would fit. or drag radials upto 225 or possibly 235 wide that will fit onto a 15x7" rim.

I have a used set of Hoosier 26x8.5's with about 30 passes on them. $150

Do you know if these tires are exactly 8.5" wide or do they run a bit bigger?

yes...they are 8.5" wide edge to edge. What vehicle are you looking to run these on?

The 90 Volvo 240, I had 225 50 15 tires on my Team dynamic 15x7 rims before. I'll have to see if a 26 would clear which it should. The car stock tires are 24.2 inches.
