Just curious what size turbo do I get if I want an oversized one.....
Whose GT hit the wall? Was it a member here?

And I thought Prohibition created NASCAR. Shows how much I know compared to journalist who has her pulse on the world.
Oversized turbo in a Mitsubishi Eclipse? What defines oversized? Oh how dramatic this is. I think I will watch it again. I was on the edge of my seat.
...NOT!
I have an extremely undersized turbo on my car...lol

It was better than most racing related news stories I've seen. Remember they are trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator not drag racing enthusiasts.

I was at Tristate when that Mustang hit the wall. I was watching it run... he spun hard right off the line and stayed in it the whole time. It was a hard hit!!

learn something new every day I guess, I didn't know we only race to be cool and fit in. I thought we did it for fun....I bet we only have sex to reproduce too.....

haha and these idiots are the same people that influence the majority of America. I need a power booster, oversized turbo exhaust and super system with a high octane paint job.

OF course they are. That is why all the drama. The truth about drag racing's start is NOT prohibition moonshine runners trying to prove their cars. THAT WAS NASCAR! But to make that false connection gives the story more drama. False statements like this prove that journalists are out to control society not report the facts.
Truth and you all know it...Drag racing started out west. We all know that Wally Parks is the founding father of NHRA and he was no booze runner nor was his family. He was a car enthusiast plain and simple just like every one of us. This all began in the Majave Desert in California. It dates as early as 1930 where car nuts would head out to these dry lake bottoms to attempt to break 100 mph. Had nothing to do with moonshine running.
So classic example of a classic liberal putting spin on a story with half truths to get peopel worked up into seeing things her way.

Would love to see or hear of someone posting her email on ESC or YB. I emailed her and all I got was attitude back in return.
I suppose that by reporting on this she feels she has done society a favor with her public service annoucement. Yet no resolve is given on how to get kids under 18 off the street and onto the tracks. Where was the "Hey parents get involved with little johnny or jane and get them to the track if this is their sporting interest instead of doing it on the streets?". There was none of that. Simply a public service announcement that brings attention once again to something that has gone on since cars were invented and before that it was horse and buggy racing. Doesn't make it right but things like texting while driving have higher annual fatality rates and need the attention moreso than this. BTW she responded to the email I sent her from her phone. I bet she was driving when she sent it. LOL!

The guy that wrecked the 2nd gen eclipse was a very good friend of mine. He lived on the same street as me and we went to school together our whole lives. Him and her had just left lone star steakhouse on a valentine's day date in 2004 and he was just having some fun but picked a horrible road to do it on and it took his life along with his g/f's. That car was actually very fast. If I'm thinking correctly, it made a touch over 500whp. He done a lot of roll racing with it. Just gotta be safe and use our heads a little better. We've all done some dumb things in our lives but we all know the possible consequences as well.

Well stated.
So this woman was exploiting an accident that took place 9 years ago? That even lowers her on the scum chart in my book. What a winch. You guys on ESC should email bomb this woman. Her email address is openly available on the channel 12 web site under contacts.

I really didn't need to see that. The guy who died was good friend of mine. A bunch of us was there that night. he wasn't racing but he kicked the car going up a slight hill and lost it. That car was no joke. over 500 wheel hp on spray. he is greatly missed.

Well, I can only try to put myself into her shoes for a minute and try to see where she's coming from. She has to live everyday of her life knowing her daughter was killed over this tragedy. I don't have kids, but I feel like if I did and something like this was to happen, I'd probably never be able to just forget about it and go on. I'm not saying she's right for doing it, but in her eyes I'm sure if she thinks she can save just one person, it's worth it.

I was referring to the reporter journalist not those she interviewed. Unless you are suggesting that the reporter journalist is the one who lost her daughter in that accident. I am not capping on those interviewed but the one who decided to do the story to begin with.
