Heads up: Road closure

If you can a avoid the party source in Newport starting Saturday morning, stay away. The army corps of engineers is making us put up the flood gate on Rt8 in front of the party source this weekend. Rt8 at that intersection will be closed. It will be a mess. Not sure how long it will take but we have to put it up and take it right back down. I think last time they put it up it took like 20hrs. So heads up if you plan on being in that area this weekend.

The Army Corps of Engineers made us put it up for a few reasons. It hasn't been put up since the late 90's and there's only one of us that was worked for the city the last time it went up. They have widened the road since then and they have recently made changes to the floodwall so they wanted to make sure everything fit right. We have a smaller one like this one down the road. Weve put it up about 5 times since Ive been there so we told them its exactly the same and that we knew how to put it up. That wasn't good enough for them. They wanted it up.

I made it home by the start of the 3rd quarter. I was getting play by play text from my personal ESPN analyst. Lol I wasn't happy and not pleasant to be around. But I was pretty tired after hauling those beams around all day so it wasn't as bad as it usually is. After I started watching the game things started looking good. But it all worked out in the end.

In my opinion they have been on the verge of losing for several weeks now. Im not big on Braxton Miller right now. I think they should let Kenny Guiton start at QB and let Braxton share time with Hyde and Hall at RB. Or just pull Braxton. I think he's lost some of his mojo. I think he's hurt worse than what he says. Too much dancing and goes down to easy for me. I think if they would pull him and start Guiton it would send a message to him and he would try harder. He's too comfortable. I think they are going to have their hands full with Michigan this year. We're going to the game and its in Anarbor.

The big panels that go on last are aluminum I believe. Theyre not very heavy. 2 guys can pick one up without dropping their grapes. Lol.

I wasn't there but I imagine it wasn't much of a problem. Its not too bad going up Taylor and across Memorial. It got kinda old though when the entrance ramp was closed a few months ago.
